Warming & serving guide

In the microwave

Take the lid off before putting it in the microwave. Heat for one minute, then stir gently. Another 40 to 50 seconds until it is warm through. If you added tong jyun, check that they are soft before serving.

On the stovetop

Pour into a small pot. Warm over medium low heat, stirring now and then, until it just begins to simmer. If it thickens while it warms, stir in a splash of water. If you added tong jyun, check that they are soft before serving.

One thing to watch

It thickens in the fridge. Stir in a splash of water as it warms and it comes right back.

How to eat it

Serve warm. Add the coconut milk and evaporated milk mixture just before eating.
